Spoil your partner to a weekend getaway to our beautifully secluded island located 35 nautical miles South West of Kota Kinabalu. Escape to true tranquil and serenity as you witness coral reefs encircling the island –captivates not only various species of marine life but also snoklers and divers from all across the region.
Discover the distinctive traits of Survivor Island with a two hour overland journey to the Kuala Penyu Jetty –passing through scenic countryside views of Papar, Bongawan and Membakut. Continue on with a 30 minute boat cruise ride to our island. Geologically, our island was only formed over a hundred years ago by several volcanic mud eruptions off the coast of Borneo. The combination of subterranean gas pressure expelled muddy sediments have built-up the island to its present height of 100 meters above sea level. As a result, it is well celebrated for its natural therapeutic volcano mud baths - just a hike away from our resort.
You are more than welcome to spend your days exploring various wildlife by trekking or bird watching at our local park where admissions are inclusive in this package. Alternatively, you could choose to carryout non-motorised water sport activities while enjoying the solitude of nature where all bookings are available at out resort’s Sand Bar.
Your sample itinerary may include:
Day 01:
- 0745hrs. pick up from any hotel in Kota Kinabalu. Proceed for a 2 hours overland journey to Kuala Penyu followed by a half an hour boatride to the island that departs at 1000hrs. (Afternoon departure possible at 1500hrs. with advance advise given to the resort).
- Receive warm welcome and briefing by our staff.
- Welcome drink
- Lunch
- Evening free at leisure or visit the mud volcano site.
- Witness the sunset view over Pulau Tiga island.
- Dinner
Day 02
- Breakfast
- Morning free to visit the snake island with or without the snorkelling trip.
- Lunch
- Evening free to enjoy the water sports (optional activities - additional costs apply)
- Dinner.
Day 03
- Breakfast
- Check out for the 0900hrs boat from Pulau Tiga Resort back to Kuala Penyu jetty.
- Return to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

This experience consist of some outdoor activities. In the event of bad weather, these scheduled outdoor activities may be canceled and replaced with other activities or may be rescheduled

Dress Code
Outdoor trekking gears are encouraged while doing outdoor activities. For this reason, please bring along insect repellent, torch light and additional batteries.
Swimwear and tropical beach wear are also highly recommended for recreational water sports.
