We are a privately-owned luxury heritage boutique hotel set in an oasis of tropical gardens. It just ten minutes by trishaw from the vibrant living culture of the world heritage site of Penang and a 20-minute drive from the beautiful Batu Feringghi beaches. By sensitively conserving a delapidated Edwardian Anglo Malay Bungalow (built on the original Sarkie Brothers coconut plantation known as Clove Hall) into this beautiful new we capture the spirit of place and found the perfect showcase for a unique and extensive collection of local antiques, artwork and furnishings. Whether you’re a local or tourist, stepping foot in our heritage boutique hotel is already an experience on its own!

You and your partner have a choice to choose between three of our charming suites namely Saffron, Cardamom or Cinnamon, all of which are unique.

Saffron and Cardamom are 530sq ft suites that occupy both the east and west wing upstairs of the main bungalow. With a view of the swimming pool (Saffron) or our charming private orchard of clove trees (Cardamom), either way you will be able to wake up to beautiful Penang sun rays shining through the French windows as u lie cosily on your king size four poster bed. You will also get to enjoy drinking tea at the balcony with planters chairs provided or just taking the time to read on the day bed in the sitting area.

For Cinnamon, this 550sq ft suite is the main suite occupying the front portion upstairs of the main bungalow. It also has separate sitting area furnished with cane furniture from the period and a spacious reception area. This suite also has a four poster king size bed with a mosquito net canopy on polished wooden floors.

Not to worry, as much as the suites are restored to have the best of the past, it is also combined with all modern conveniences and spoils of the present. All rooms are equipped with a king size bed, LCD TV, Wifi, rain shower in bathroom with separate vanity area and air conditioning. The stay here is designed to make you feel as ‘at home’ as possible. This package also includes freshly cooked breakfast for 2 days.
