Have you always wondered how it feels like being a surfer? Here’s your chance to learn to surf, just like how you see it on TV! Come and experience the thrill and exhilaration of gliding smoothly across the water and taking on the waves while enjoying a weekend out on the beach.
The surf scene in Malaysia is barely known here, let alone outside the country. Nevertheless, this comes as a good thing because there are lesser crowds which make it more relaxing and better for learning. Here in Malaysia, while the fishermen dread the monsoon season, the surfing community rejoices because it’s that perfect time of year again. What many do not know is that, during the monsoon season, Cherating and its surrounding breaks see waves of world class quality and astonishing consistency, with everything a surfer needs; from perfect cylindrical sand-bottom point breaks for the skilled surfer to mellow easy rolling waves that break for over a kilometer – perfect for long boarders and beginners. Just a few minutes up the coast lays several more secret spots, known only to the local scene and on the right days, matching anything Indonesian waves can throw.
This experience is a 3 days 2 nights surf getaway that will teach you the basics of surfing. Each day includes 1 lesson and 3 hours of practice. Another great part of this experience is being able to enjoy the beach nightlife and hanging out with the friendly locals at the end of each day. Cherating itself is a small and friendly village, and during the week you’ll be joined in the water by only a handful of locals who you’ll get to know within a few days. At weekends the paces steps up, with an active nightlife and busier crowd, but always maintaining a laid-back, friendly vibe in and out of the water. In Cherating, it’s as much about the lifestyle as the sport.

This experience includes 3 surf lessons, all equipment hire for each lesson, 3 hours practice and 2 nights accommodation in an air-conditioned hotel.

Participant Guidelines
Participants must be able to swim and most importantly be prepared to get wet and have some fun! Note: Accommodation does not include meals.
Weather
Most surfing lessons go, rain or shine. In case of adverse weather which poses high risk and danger, your experience will be rescheduled to a later date and time.
Availability
We recommend booking (upon activation of voucher) at least 3 weeks in advance. Surfing season runs from November to March which offers great and consistent learning conditions for beginners.
Number on Days
Accommodation is on a twin sharing basis for 2 pax. On the waves, you may be joining other participants on the day.

Dress Code
Surfwear, board shorts or swimwear. Please bring along towels and sunscreen protection.

This experience can be catered for groups. All packages are flexible, and we do our best to meet any/all of your requirements.
