Participant Guidelines

Do understand that you are going for a 4x4 wheel drive trip. Rolling and pitching will be encountered on the off-road sections. If you get tipsy easily, bring along a plastic bag for the sake of everyone else in your vehicle.

Do expect to be dirty. Your shoes will most probably be wet and muddy – so, don’t dress for a party.

When your vehicle is stuck, listen to instructions. If you can help, then by all means. If you can’t, then stand aside and observe – you may learn something new and be able to help the next time.

Never walk or stay in the path (front or back) of a vehicle that is moving or parked on a slope. A sliding vehicle has no control and therefore has no choice but to run over anything in its path – including you!

If you are lost during the night, hug a tree, don’t move and call for help.

Don’t pluck or touch the leaves of vegetation that you are unsure of.

Don’t wander away from the group. If you are on a trek and need to stop, inform the person in front of you.

Avoid trees during a thunderstorm – stay in your vehicle.

Do seek medical attention immediately if insects bite you, snake, animal or human – but we do not have any medication for human bites.

Don’t waste drinking water – you don’t know how fast it can be finished.

Please be attentive and always pay attention to your guide.

If you have your own personal first aid kit, please bring it along as some medications are personalised. We should personalize our kit to meet our needs, activities and situations. Always ask permission before entering private land.

Never approach wild animals.

Look out for snakes, spiders and other critters. Watch where you are walking, be careful when picking up sticks or rocks and look around before taking a seat. Again, snakes are usually more afraid of us, but if they feel threatened or if you make sudden movements they may strike. Stay calm and slowly move away from them.

Other insects such as bees, ants, ticks, mosquitoes, flies etc should not be taken lightly.

Wear sunscreen and sunglasses.

Be careful around water. Watch your step and don’t take chances. It is advisable that you know how to swim.

Pay attention to weather conditions. It can change very quickly. Be prepared and act in anticipation of severe weather.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event of cancellation or postponement of your event after confirmation with less than fourteen (14) days notice, the amount cannot be refunded or used for future functions as it serves as compensation for business loss that cannot be replaced under such short notice. However, if we initiated the cancellations, a full refund will be given.

Finally, and most importantly, keep a smile on your face!

Weather

Rain or shine, this experience will proceed. However, in the case of adverse weather that may pose safety risk, your experience will be rescheduled to a different date or time.

It is important to note that in case of adverse weather in the middle of the expedition that may cause delays or additional cost to transport out, fix or call for emergency help will be borne by the customer.
