Batik making is indigenous to Kelantan, so naturally the best place to learn this traditional art form would be right here in Kelantan! Experience batik making at its natural best in a cottage industry village where original Batik block print techniques and materials are preserved and still practiced for everyone to enjoy, learn and experience.
As you enter the village, you will be brought back into time and you can imagine yourselves as batik makers and traders back in the olden days. Your day begins with an introduction from the batik expert about this beautiful art. The rest of the day will be spent learning basic skills such as printing and coloring. You will have immediate hands-on experience, with the artist providing various demonstrations and imparting technical knowledge. This experience allows you to create your own 2 meter cloth batik masterpiece under the guidance of the batik artist and you will also get to choose your preferred block print or batik chop.
The finished batik piece that you produced will need to be processed before being delivered to your doorstep at no additional cost.
You will leave this workshop with a new found appreciation for Malaysia's proud and joy art form. Refreshments will be provided.
NOTE : Free postage to any local address within Malaysia. There will be an additional RM20 per batik piece for posting to international address, anywhere in the world. This amount is payable directly to the venue on the day.

Participant Guidelines
All materials will be provided. Exact location will be advised upon activation of voucher. Participants will need to make their own way to the venue.
Your batik art will be posted to a given address once it is dry. It normally takes 1-2 days to dry, depending on weather conditions. Delivery of batik art will be carried out by Malaysia Pos and delivery time may take up to 1-2 weeks.
We run at a minimum of 2 pax and maximum of 20 pax per workshop
